Liquid Rubber Mulch Glue can be used on wood and rubber mulch, pine straw and pea gravel.  It will keep the mulch from ending up in your grass or scattered from being kicked around by kids and animals, washed away by sprinklers, hoses and rain or blown away by wind and blowers.  It’s also non-toxic and safe for you, your pets and plants.

Clean Your Space

Remove any debris you don't want in the bed including twigs, leaves, refuse, etc.

Contain The Mess

Set out a tarp or large piece of cardboard to keep all tools and containers on when you are not using them. Have a pail of soap and water, and rags ready in case there is a spill. If a spill happens, use rags to soak it up, cleaning immediately with soap and water. Protect plants and surfaces you don't want your mulch glue on.

Not for use in pedestrian walkways, for vehicular traffic or where significant water flow occurs (ie. downspouts, roof runoff).

PREPARATION

  1. Place a minimum thickness of 2 inches (5 cm) of mulch, pea gravel, or stone 24-28 hours before application to allow it to properly dry.
  2. Pea gravel and stone much be rinsed with a garden hose to remove dust/contaminants.
  3. Rake or turn the mulch to accelerate and provide for even drying. (moisture may affect adhesion and performance or cause blushing).

APPLICATION

  1. Do not dilute, just mix well before use.
  2. Protect surfaces not intended to be treated like shrubs, plants and trees.
  3. Work in smaller sections to be sure you are achieving the coverage rate.
  4. Apply using a garden sprayer with a fan tip (a watering can also be used). Take care not to oversaturate as this can extend drying times and cause blushing.
  5. For the first coat apply 1/2 gallon for 50 ft² area to the top of loose mulch.
  6. Compact and allow to dry 1-2 hours or dry to the touch, before applying your second coat.
  7. Apply the second 1/2 gallon to the same 50 ft² area.
  8. Allow 4-6 hours to dry.
  9. Apply above 10C/50F and below 80% humidity.
  10. Not for use in pedestrian walkways, roadways or where significant waterflow occurs.

WEATHER AND WHEN TO APPLY

  • APPLY IN DRY, WARM TEMPERATURES.
  • 10C/50F AND ABOVE.
  • BELOW 80% HUMIDITY.
  • AVOID DIRECT, HOT, INTENSE SUN.
